Allison Hendrix

Allison Hendrix is a Chicago-based performing arts professional, nonprofit leader, yoga instructor, and emerging legal professional with an extensive career built across multiple disciplines and industries.

As a music director, actor, and director with deep roots in Chicago's storefront and Equity theatre community, she went on to co-found Kokandy Productions, a professional nonprofit musical theatre company, serving as its Producing Artistic Director and leading the artistic vision and production operations across its early seasons. She currently serves as Board President and Consultant at Stages Chicago, a theatre arts education nonprofit, where her work focuses on contract review, advisory support, and organizational development.

Since 2012, she has taught yoga across Chicago and beyond, at Namaskar Yoga, Wrigley Field, the United Center, and through her own digital studio. Her classes draw from an alignment-based vinyasa foundation, shaped by a background in music, movement, and a genuine belief that a yoga practice is created by teacher and students together in the room, making space for exploration that is adventurous, intuitive, and at least a little bit fun.

Now completing a post-baccalaureate certificate in legal studies, with coursework including legal research and writing, contracts, and civil litigation, she is excited to bring her background in organizational and collaborative problem-solving, her analytical and creative mind, and her deep commitment to public interest work into the legal profession.
